It feels a little self-serving to write a great review about a book in which I am a character and I would never normally do this but...I am SO proud of Dick and this amazing accomplishment that I have to weigh in here. This is no pandering or self-serving, ghost-written "auto-biography" that sanitizes the past to protect the "author" or amplifies the glamor and excesses to sell units. This is a thoughtful recollection of slices of Dick's life. It's witty, artful, literate, sometimes cheeky, often philisophical and profound, gentle and loving, whistful and exuberant but, above all, musical. But that's Dick in a sentence. Reading this will certainly entertain anyone who has an interest in the "Roman" era of the music business. But it also offers insights into the complex and often insane life of the musician celebrity; the one close to, but not quite at, the top of the entertainment foodchain. In its honesty it does encompass sex, drugs and rock'n'roll - but also pain, yearning, sacrifice, adventure, growth and the joy of creating.

Aside from being my go-to musician and writer on the majority of my projects in the 70's and 80's and now again in the new milennium, Dick Wagner is also my dear friend and a good man who has more than paid his dues over the years. To see him healthy and back in form again makes me very happy. To read this wonderful book makes me very proud.

ALICE COOPER, DICK WAGNER Music Featured On Horror Flick

Silas Gore, A Film Trilogy

Dick Wagner and Alice Cooper are writing together for rock horror film, Silas Gore. Recording to begin at Harmonie Park Studios in Detroit. Tentative schedule begins October 1st in Detroit. Stay tuned for updates.

WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE 2:

Alice Cooper, Dick Wagner and Bob Ezrin are together again for the reprise of Alice Cooper's "Welcome to My Nightmare." The new album, "Welcome To My Nightmare 2" was introduced by Alice at his June 19, 2010 press conference in Clisson, France: "I'm very happy with working with [producer] Bob [Ezrin] again. It's 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare', and it's the next nightmare. Thirty years later, he has another nightmare, and this one is even worse than the last one.

"I [hadn't] worked with Bob in a long time. After the 35th anniversary of 'Nightmare', I said, 'Why don't we start writing something else?' And he said, 'Why don't we just do part two?' We'd never done part two, so I went, 'That's a great idea. Let's get me and you together, I think we can still get Steven Hunter and Dick Wagner. We'll put some of the original people on it and add some new people." ~ Alice Cooper

Arizona-based singer/songwriter Wensday will be bringing her fiery fusion of edge and sophistication to downtown LA hotspot Bordello with her new monthly residency every first Wednesday of the month starting March 7th. Playing alongside Wensday at this free preview show will be Fred Mandel on keyboard (Elton John, Queen, Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper) and guitar virtuoso Sid Jacobs (Buddy Montgomery, Harold Land, Eddie Harris). A sultry and sweet chanteuse one minute, a bold and edgy rocker the next, rock legend Alice Cooper sums it up best, _Wensday is the other girl next door._ She brings a magical multiple personality to her explosive debut album whose title forges an exciting new musical hybrid: Torch Rock.

Her diverse musical backgrounds as a jazz and rock singer, combined with her blues and classical training make Wensday simply way too cool to peg. Since graduating with a drama degree from NYU_where her social life gathered around weekend raves--she_s complemented her sophisticated jazz gigs with work as a body piercer in renowned tattoo parlors in Miami and Atlanta, in addition to taking on multiple roles as teacher, director, vocal coach, playwright and Associate Director of All Childrens Theater in her hometown of Providence, Rhode Island.

Located at 901 E. 1st St., Bordello, formerly Little Pedro's, flirts with the notorious past of its infamous location, as the oldest bar and brothel in Downtown Los Angeles, by reflecting its legendary status as a theater of the unusual and provocative. The completely renovated and colorfully redecorated venue has been appropriately renamed by famed L.A. club owner Tony Gower, celebrity designer Dana Hollister, revolutionary urban planner Elizabeth Peterson and innovative restaurateur Jim Venetos.

May 2006 finds Dick Wagner in production and songwriting collaboration with Dr. Gary Telgenhoff. Dr. Telgenhoff is creator of the SkinnerRat project, a look at the dark side of life through the eyes of the "rock drummer" and senior medical examiner of Las Vegas. Truly brilliant, slightly twisted, out of the mainstream music.

April, 2006 brings Dick Wagner to a creative meeting and co-writing session with Alice Cooper, the result of which will be potential new songs for Mr. Cooper’s next album (CD). After a long period of time, these two master songwriters are once again joined in what has always been a fruitful and successful collaboration of creative minds.

April 2006 also finds Dick Wagner in the studio with young and gifted singer, MissWensday, producing the initial tracks of her first CD. The CD will feature songs written by Mr. Wagner and MissWensday. MissWensday is a soulful Jazz/Blues/Pop singer from Providence R.I. with fantastic cross over appeal
